Hi! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Hans, I am a cycling and photography nerd based in Munich, Germany (which is the place of the original Oktoberfest, by the way).
I have rediscovered pedaling just recently. Before that I had made driving, like so many people around me, a habit for the most part of my working life. The change back did not happen before my wife and I moved to a new home near my workplace. Sitting behind the wheel for a commute of less than two miles did not seem like an enticing prospect to me. Anyway, revitalizing my cycling passion led to a couple of vintage bikes piling up in our garage.
Another, probably less storage space-consuming activity of mine is hiking the Bavarian Alps. Its mountain dreamscapes are just a 60-minute drive away from our home. In pre-corona days, I used to explore more remote areas too, including a couple of visits to Japan, New Zealand, and the United States.
Drop me a line and I will get back to you asap. Looking forward to hearing from you!
