Hi, my name is Hans. Thanks for stopping by. I wish I had a super exciting story to tell as to why and how this site came into being (when in reality it is a mere series of some favorite snapshots of mine).
Back in my school days during the 70s, I used to do a lot of cycling. It was not until recently, when I moved to a new home in cycling distance to my workplace, that I rediscovered my bike genes. As a result, more and more vintage bicycles started flocking into my basement.
Another favorite activity of mine is hiking the Bavarian-Austrian Alps. Fairly obvious if you live, like me, just a one-hour drive away from the place. In pre-corona days I also used to travel quite a bit, including a couple of trips to the Far East.
When it comes to photo gear, I prefer it lightweight and compact. Sacrificing the last ounce of image quality is fine with me if it helps to bring down my load, particularly when setting out for the mountains. My current setup is a small Canon EOS M6 APS-C mirrorless cam with a couple of primes and zooms.
Drop me a line and I will get back to you asap. Looking forward to hearing from you!
