I am Hans, the guy running this place! My fetish are classic bicycles and all things Japanese.
How Japan blends tradition and long-standing customs with the hypermodern seems kind of cool to me. It is almost impossible to imagine the country without views of the iconic Tokyo concrete jungle coming to mind. But Japan is a place of great scenic beauty too. Once you get out of its dense urban areas, you find yourself in picturesque landscapes that will rival any other Asian-Pacific destination.
When in the 1970s Japan effectively became the world’s factory, the cycling industry was part of this boom as well. A decade later, bike technology had advanced to a point that makes models of this vintage perfectly usable even today. At least for my wife and me who ride 30-year-old bicycles on our daily commute and on occasional weekend outings.
