Hola amigos, what’s up?
I am Hans, the guy pulling the wires here. I love toying with vintage bicycles and taking snaps of anything I stumble upon. When lugged steel bikes had their heyday, sometime between the mid-1970s and the mid-1990s, I was a schoolboy, student, and young professional. While these days are long gone, the trusty steeds I collected from this era are still going strong.
Japanese Brands such as Bridgestone, Fuji, Kuwahara, Panasonic, Shimano, and SunTour pioneered bike technology that is still present in today’s products. Think of the slant parallelogram derailleur (first by SunTour) or indexed shifting and combined brake / gear levers (both invented by Shimano).
